Hi, I'm Samantha (or you can call me Sammy)! I started writing on here when I was in college, but stopped somewhere along the way once I graduated, moved home to Florida, and started teaching. It's been a busy few years, but I've missed getting to share bits and pieces of my life and what the Lord is teaching me on this small space on the web.
Since I first started this blog, quite a few things have chanced over the years! I graduated from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and moved home to the Florida Panhandle to start my teaching career. I have taught third grade math and science for the past two years, but now I'm getting ready to move to New Mexico to teach my very first group of self contained third graders this fall!
This biggest change of all has been the introduction of a blonde hair, blue eyed California guy into my life! Throughout college, I wrote a lot about my season of singleness and waiting, but since then the Lord has started to script a new story. At the end of my first year teaching, I went to a dinner party and saw Alex (my now fiancee!) sitting at the head of the table. We talked quite a bit that night and exchanged numbers, but I had no clue just how significant this man would become in my life. Fast forward a year later, and we are newly engaged and planning a destination wedding for this July. I'm excited to share more about what we're learning as we prepare for marriage and as I get ready for a cross country move to join him in New Mexico. I'm so glad that you've taken time to join me on this journey!
